About IndicSense

dharme sthitāḥ, jijñāsayā pravartitāḥ

Rooted in Dharma. Driven by Inquiry.

Taking charansparsh from the great souls of Bharat, and drawing inspiration from our seniors and fellow members, all of us at IndicSense strive to explore Indic thought in its truest form and walk the path of Bharatiyata. Just like the squirrels in the Ramayana who quietly played their part, we too hope to contribute, in whatever way we can, to the larger Indic movement.

The Indic tradition has never viewed learning as the mere accumulation of knowledge, but as a process of inner refinement - one that begins with humility, matures through sincere inquiry, and naturally expresses itself through action. To know is not merely to collect ideas, but to ultimately allow one to shape their way of living.

In that spirit, IndicSense is not only a forum to discuss the past and celebrate our civilizational heritage, but also an earnest attempt to engage with the wisdom of Bharat with reverence, and intellectual honesty.

The Gita reminds us that action finds its highest meaning when it is freed from attachment, and that true learning begins only when one is willing to become a student. The pursuit of jñāna is therefore inseparable from the cultivation of vinaya. One refines the intellect, the other refines the individual. Together, they make wisdom possible.

If IndicSense can cultivate within us the humility to keep learning, the courage to keep questioning with the right mindset, and the wisdom to recognise how much remains to be understood, it would have fulfilled its purpose - for the pursuit of Indic thought is not a destination to be reached, but a journey that continually transforms the traveller.
